To start off our brand new Women's Field program the SLA is having intro to Women's Field camps on October 17th (in Regina) and October 24th (in Saskatoon). The camp will be lead by program Head Coach, Paige Mason, along with different SLA volunteers that have signed up to help grow Women's Field Lacrosse across the Province!
These camps will serve as a starting point for any of our female players who want to learn Women's Field and be a part of the new program. Women’s Field Lacrosse provides a lot of opportunities for our female Lacrosse players, from another opportunity to attend National Championships to educational scholarships and opportunities so we are excited to bring it back to Sask so our female players have as many opportunities possible.
Cost to attend the camp is $20 which will include four hours of on field time, plus anyone who attends these camps will have access to the Women's Field webinars that will be put on over the winter free of charge. Sticks and goggles will be provided.
Camps will have a morning session and afternoon session. Specific times and locations will be emailed out to all registered parties. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, players can only attend ONE camp (North or South) and they must attend the camp that is closest to their residence. Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are unable to allow players to skip geographical regions, so if a player is unable to attend the camp closest to their residence, they will not be able to take part in these first round of clinics as we are not able to approve them to travel to the other camp. Don’t worry if your player is unable to attend this first round of camps as there will be more offered in the Spring. Since these are the first two camps, we are not setting age restrictions and will group accordingly.
